They're calling it one of the most touching moments in sports this year. And I think we can all agree on that!
It all started as a terrifying play when Oklahoma's Kaiden Shelton's wild pitch caught Jarvis square in the head while batting. Miraculously, Jarvis was O-K. And even more impressive, able to continue playing. But after he made his way to first base, Jarvis realized the pitcher was not fine breaking into tears. Jarvis interrupted play and made his way to the mound where he embraced Shelton, letting him know he was truly O-K. The embrace, captured in front of a nationally televised audience on ESPN, quickly warmed people's hearts with there might not being a better example of sportsmanship this year.
