After years and years of debate over changing the Rhode Island state license plate, the finalists are here.
The strange thing is, well, they kinda look like the old license plates. I mean, a few of them use the familiar "wave" design, although it's certainly tweaked a bit. Some options even incorporate a new color or two. Oh...and the bridges! Some depict thew state's iconic bridges! But I wouldn't go so far as to say they are drastically different.
And that's not to say that something with a little more pizzaz wasn't submitted. These 5 license plates are simply what was chosen as a "finalist" by someone who clearly isn't comfortable with switching up the license plate all that much.
