Have you been buttering your bread wrong your whole life?
It's likely that you may be headed out to eat with your love this Valentine's Day. Don't act like a noob and butter your bread like a savage!
Etiquette expert, Dr. Clinton Lee, says there is a proper way of buttering your bread. And we're about to break it down for you!
Step One: Take a piece of bread or a bread roll, and put it on your plate.
Step Two: Use a knife to put a small amount of butter on your plate that's just for you. You shouldn't take it from the dish and put it directly on your bread . . . apparently that's disgusting.
Step Three: Take your piece of bread and break it up into smaller, bite-sized pieces with your hands. Somehow, manhandling your bread more is better? Butter? Better. Whatever.
Step Four: Butter each bite-sized piece individually before you eat it. Never butter them all at once.
And now you're classy AF! Enjoy that bread!!
Here's a video in case you think we're full of it!
