FIRED: She talked #Salary on TIKTOK and that's when they fired her...

Lexi Larson is a 25-year-old senior account manager in Denver. Upon getting a job in the tech industry where she was making $40K more, she took to TikTok to share the exciting news. Well, she’s shared that the videos (which she’s now deleted) ended up getting her fired from the job.

In one of the since-deleted vids, Lexi explained, “But basically, my employer found my TikToks and really, really did not like that I was sharing my salary and stuff like that. Even though I'm very aware that talking about salary is federally protected — you can't get fired for that — I did take all of those videos down just because, you know, they were my employer and I didn't want them to be mad at me or not like me or something."

And then? After they spoke to her about her TikTok, Lexi says they fired her anyway “because they said me having this account was a security concern” because she “could post something private about the company.” She goes on to say that even though they admitted she didn’t break any policies “yet,” they just didn’t want to “take that risk with me."

The good news (sorta)? She ended up calling her previous manager and thanks to their good working relationship got her job back, but Lexi admits “the pay is much lower.”
