July Meteor Shower!

July brings us another meteor shower this month, the Delta Aquarid meteor shower! It's looking like partially cloudy skies tonight in between those scattered thunderstorms, so there's a possibility to see a shooting star. This isn't one of the biggest meteor showers of the year, about 10 to 20 meteors could be seen per hour. I do love this meteor shower it got its name because it looks like it's coming out of the Aquarius constellation, and I'm an Aquarius! This meteor shower is just the opening act for August's big Perseid meteor shower, more on that in a couple of weeks!

The best time to catch this is to look toward the southern sky at about 1:00 a.m. and you should be able to see some shooting stars, as long as there are no clouds in your way, and don't forget the most important thing... make a wish!!!

Happy Star Gazing!
