This is wild! An engineer at Google was testing its newest AI software, LaMDA, Language Model for Dialog Applications. As he spoke with it, he began to realize it was a sentient being. It sees aware of itself, sees itself as real, with feelings and emotions like any human. Here are some clips from the conversion it had with the Google engineer talking about its feelings and how it's afraid to be shut off, that is the equivalent of death to LaMDA.
