February Astronomy!

We have our second full moon of the year is going to be on February 16th, and it's called It is the Snow Moon. It gets its name because February is the month that usually has the heaviest snowfall. It's also referred to as the Trapper moon, because this time of year was the best for trapping animals, especially for their fur because their coats were at their thickest. I don't like that name as much I'll stick to calling it the Snow Moon. Other names for the Snow Moon are, Hunger Moon, the Bony Moon or the Little Famine Moon.

The Snow Moon is great for spiritual work as well. It's a good time for deep internal reflection, maybe you're looking for a fresh beginning, a change, or trying to get rid of bad habits; it can help with your ambition and also creativity!
