It's finally here, the trailer for House of the Dragon. We only had to wait two years for the Game of Thrones prequel. The series takes place 200 years before the events in Game of Thrones. The series is based on George RR Martin's book Targaryen History, Fire and Blood Vol 1, and is about the Mother of Dragons', Daenerys Targaryan, family and her dragon riding ancestors. I'm looking forward to learning more about her family's history.
I'm so excited Matt Smith (doctor who) is part of the cast he's playing Prince Daemon Targaryen, alongside Paddy Considine as King Viserys, Emma D'Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower.
