Lunar Events to Look Forward to in May & Ingenuity's 4th Flight!

I am so excited, it's May, and we have a lot of lunar and celestial activity happening, there's a meteor shower there's Super Moon and an eclipse I've got all the details for you.

First off we have the ETA Aquarid meteor shower, it kicked off in April 19th and goes through May 28th, it hits its peak on May 5th. The comets from the shower are ice and rock debris from the trail of the famous Halley's Comet. The best time to catch it is before Dawn on May 5th or even a couple of days before but make sure you look before dawn, and are away from light pollution. You can potentially see 10 meteors per hour, it's easier to see them if you're closer to the equator, but it can be seen throughout the world. We'll just have to look further south in the sky towards the equator.

On May 11th there's a new moon, it arrives at 3p.m. EST.

On May 15th Mercury reaches the highest point in the sky, it'll be visible in the western sky just after sunset.

Then on May 26th is the closet supermoon of the year it's called The Flower Moon, but there's going to be a total lunar eclipse too, making it a blood moon. It technically reaches its peak at about 7:30 in the morning, but you can see it Tuesday or Wednesday night.

We've also had quite an exciting week in science the ingenuity helicopter made its fourth and longest flight so far you can check out that video below I didn't even realize it made the second or third flight not going to lie, but it's pretty wild that we can fly a helicopter on another planet, mind blown.

Here's the video of the 4th flight and in case you miss it (ICYMI) I've added the other 3 flight videos too!
