It’s my favorite day again, New Music Friday! So much new awesome music out today; let’s start with some albums!
The long awaited album, “Smile” from Katy Perry came out. I’ve been looking forward to this album since she dropped “Never Really Over” last summer. It is exactly what I hoped it would be. It’s full of sings that out in your feelings and make you wanna get up an dance, sad bangers My favorites songs are “Tear Eyes,” “Champagne Problems.” Tucked,” and “Never Really Over” of course.
Dua Lipa’s "Club Future Nostalgia" is out with some killer remixes! These are such a bop, no wonder it’s called “CLUB Future Nostalgia.” There’s also a remix from her debut album for the song “Kiss and Make Up” with BlackPink and I LOVE the remix. I’ve already hit up my bestie to tell him we need to get crunk with some black lights, a disco ball and blast this album. It will feel like we’re back in the club. RIP the tiny social life I had before covid haha.
Halsey’s debut album Badlands just had 5 year anniversary so se released Badlands: Live From Webster Hall” to celebrate! Congrats to our girl! Here's the live track of "Ghost!"
Lovelytheband’s sophomore album has arrived. “Conversations With Myself About You” it contains the single “Loneliness for Love” I like them they’re newer on the scene and I’ve got a soft spot for indie pop. The group emerged in 2018 with their hit “Broken” Here’s that and their latest single.
·Sam Fischer released his new EP “Homework.” It contains the hit “This City,” a rerelease from the first EP “Not a Hobby” from 2018. I like his new EP he has a great voice and its showcase more on the album. Also some great beats on here. I love “ Everybody’s Got Somebody”and “Ready, hear the latter below.

BlackPink dropped their single “Ice Cream” with Selena Gomez and it is a freaking bop. It everything it should be and more; Fun, cute, great catchy beat and I am here for it. They managed to make this single during quarantine even though they’re in different parts of the world. That’s pretty freaking cool! It was cool for them too because they are fans of one another so this was a dream come for them as well as the fans!
I don’t know hoe but I almost missed this. 5 Second of sum flying under my radar but their new song caught my ear. Bonus track from their latest album “Calm” I love a good bonus track and you know I love my boy bands so this is a dream come true. Love this, “Kill My Time”. It’s a jam like everything else they put out.
Calvin Harris and The weekend released a single together “Over Now” and omg it’s hot! With Calvin bringing some chill beats against The Weekends smooth sultry voice mesh so well together. I love it! Check it out!
