Hey there. Hope you're doing well. I'm hanging in there, So thankful for existence of music. It's the only thing that keeps me same on a normal day, so it coming clutch rn during quarantine. That being said, I read this article the other day that ranked "feel good songs from the pandemic" from best to worst. I was thinking okay this is cool, some of these songs are great but I was thinking what about some other feel good songs to listen to during the pandemic, that aren't about the pandemic. Something fun to escape reality for a little bit, ya know?
So, besides the pandemic inspired bops like, Pitbull's "I Believe That We Will Win," which is fire, Twenty-One Pilots "Level of Concern," that's catchy and always stuck in my head and, obviously, OneRepublic's "Better Days." And if I'm being honest, that one's been on repeat quite a lot; along with the other 4 songs they've already dropped from their upcoming album "Human," due out later this year... fingers crossed.
Speaking of bops, Dua Lipa's "Future Nostalgia" album is full of them. It's a great sophomore album from her. I love it! Her song "Pretty Please" is a mood and I'm here for it, I think it's my fave off this album.
Now for me summer would not be complete without some Avicii <3 rip I just love to put him on shuffle and blast it especially when I'm gardening. I actually named my garden after him, "The Avicii," my way of remembering him.
New songs I’ve been into are Fitz and the Tantrums’ “I Just Wanna Shine” it’s fun and make me feel hopeful.
I’ve been obsessed with Harry Styles’ “Adore You” it’s one of my favorites to play on-air!
“Chromatica,” Lady Gaga’s new album is full of dance pops like “Stupid Love”, My favorite on there is “Sour Candy” featuring the K-Pop group BLACKPINK!
This is exciting, Jesse McCartney (aka my dream guy) just released a new song called “Friends” its super cute and fun! And of course, I still can’t get enough of his first single “Beautiful Soul” and I remember being obsessed with “Because You Live.”
Since it’s that time of the year of course I’m bumping New Kids on the Block’s “Summertime.” What. A. Bop. Makes my crush on Donnie Whalberg come rushing back. haha
Oh, and this random throwback that pops into my head more often than I’d like to admit. Remember “Right Thurr” by Chingy?... Yup, that song. Please enjoy! Lmaooo
BOUNS: If you're into country music like me, remember Sam Hunt's song "House Party?" IMO, it’s Hard to Forget (see what I did there). Anyways, that's been fun to listen lately, for obvious reasons. Haha. Also, he dropped his second studio album "Southside" this year and Oh. My. God. I literally(Chris Traeger's voice) can't get enough. This one is as addicting as his first album "Montevallo,” from 6 years ago. This was a long time coming, but so worth the wait. I can’t pick a favorite but my top 3 “Hard to Forget,” “Young Once,” and “Drinking Too Much.”
