Halsey gave us 'Without Me' back in late 2018 and finally on Jan 17th 2020 we got her new album, "Manic!" I've only had a few days with it but it is absolutely incredible she, lets her guard down, open up to us and let us into her soul. I love this album, she is an incredible lyricist and she has impressed me yet again. Her last album "Hopeless Fountain Kingdom" from 2017 was great and one of my favorites and "Manic" is now my new fave!
A few of the songs I really like from the album are 'Clementine' it is SO pretty, '3am' has more a rock sound to it and, to me, also has a late 90s early 00s vibe to me and, being a 90s baby, I love that. 'More' is sad but beautiful and 'Still Learning' is my favorite, and a great self-love anthem about learning to be patient and kind with yourself, as you continue to grow. Then there is '929' which Halsey says is “the most uncensored song I have ever written in my life." This is album feels like she just opened her diary to and let us inside her head and heart. It deep and real and incredible and I love and respect her even more now. Go give the whole album a listen and I hope you love it as much as I do!
Here's her latest single from the album 'You Should Be Sad' is also a bop with a little country vibe to it. Also, Halsey looks absolutely stunning in this video!
