Gwen Stefani's fifth studio album Bouquet has been in the making before she even knew it. The No Doubt icon shared with Ryan Seacrest her forthcoming album stems from everything from her split from ex-husband Gavin Rossdale to gardening and "planting the seed" with Blake Shelton.
"I had been writing for a long time and I wanted to write a record so bad, but, you guys know, it's really hard to write an album when you're a mom. ... I felt guilty ... wanting more, more, more, more," Gwen shared with Seacrest, reflecting on how although she'd already reached peak success writing music is like "working out for me. I need to do it."
"It helps me so much," she added. "Everybody knows the family broke up and so much time has gone by, but it takes so much time to heal," she shared in reference to her 2015 split from Rossdale. "... I didn't even know how healing it was going to be."
Gwen shared it took awhile to find her groove though when it came to producing the album and that she leaned on pal Adam Levine to connect her with the right people.
Plus, learn all about how she ended up working with Niko Rubio and Madison Emiko Love and why gardening with hubby Blake Shelton led to to the florals theme.
