Here's the Latest News on Season 5 of Stranger Things

The creators of Stranger Things the Duffer Brothers took some time off in July after the premiere of Season 4 Volume 2 and now they say they plan on getting back to work during this first week of August writing Season 5.

According to an interview they brothers did with Insider, the 5th and final season of the hit Netflix series will be shorter than Season 4, except for its finale which will probably be comparable in length the finale of Season 4 at about 2 1/2 hours, however they say that could change.

We can expect the series to leap forward a bit in time for Season 5. Since it wasn’t possible to film Seasons 4 and 5 back to back, and the kids are now older than their characters, Ross Duffer told TV Line “sure we will do a time jump.” They also say the final season will be set in Hawkins, Indiana, unlike Season 4 in which the cast was separated with some in Russia, some in California and the rest in Hawkins.

And according to an interview with Matt Duffer in Collider, Noah Schnapp aka Will, is going to play a major role Season 5 saying, "Will's going to be a big part and focus, is really all I can say of season five, in his journey. We're starting to see his coming of age, really. Which has been challenging for a number of reasons, some of which are supernatural. But you're starting to see him come into his own."

Word is, filming for the final season will begin sometime in 2023, so we most likely have to wait until 2024 for it to be released on Netflix.
