This Summer when you’re out at the ball game you may be snacking on Cracker Jills rather than Cracker Jacks. Snack makers Frito-Lay just debuted new packaging featuring the name Cracker Jill on the label, plus each bag will feature one of five different representations of women created by artist and model Monica Ahanonu.
The classic popcorn and peanut filled snack with it's new name will be available starting this week at concession stands at baseball parks across the nation to celebrate baseball’s Opening Day.
Cracker Jill was created to celebrate women in sports and the company also made a $200,000 donation to the Women's Sports Foundation.
Good news, Craker Jill is a permanent addition to the Frito-Lay family of snacks, but don't worry, her partner Cracker Jack will still be around.
In celebration, singer Normani recorded an brand new version of "Take Me Out To the Ballgame" where she sings, "Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jill. No one can stop you if you have the will." Check it out!
