Today would have been Betty White’s 100th birthday! To honor her many are planning to make donations to help animal shelters and other animal causes in her memory.
Dubbed "The Betty White Challenge," animal shelters and charities across the nation are hoping Betty’s fans will open their wallets to help them out.
The challenge is for people to make a five-dollar donation (or whatever they can give) to an animal charity.
Betty loved our four-legged friends and she let everyone know it. Remember she had a TV show called “The Pet Set” that aired back in the early 70s which featured celebrities and their pets, plus caring for pets and preserving wildlife.
Along with money, shelters would be very happy with donations of pet food, blankets, cat litter and other pet supplies. Or if you don’t have any money to give you can volunteer!
