A Snowplow in Michigan Has Been Named After Betty White!

Thanks to the guys at the Johnston DPW for plowing my street bright and early this morning...they made three passes and got it nice and clear. Speaking of snowplows, one has been named after the late Betty White in Michigan!

The more than 300 plows in the State of Michigan all have new names that you can see listed on the Michigan Department of Transportation’s website HERE!

A spokesperson for the DOT said they had already chosen the name Betty Whiteout for one of their plows before the legendary actress passed away on December 31st, 2021, but turns out it’s a pretty cool tribute to her.

Last year the folks in Michigan started suggesting names, and among some of the others chosen are Gordie Plow, Aaron Brr, Derek Sleeter, Weird Plow Yankovic, Snowbegone Kenobi, Peppy le Plow and Sleetwood Mac.

Although the names are not stamped on the side of the plows, you can log onto the DOT’s live snowplow tracker to see what street your favorite plow is clearing!
