Dad Uses Limo to Help Offset School Bus Shortage

This dad takes his son’s schooling very seriously. Sean Rogers Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, said his kids recently missed school when their bus never showed up. So he posted on Facebook to see if any other local parents wanted their kids driven to school in a limousine borrowed from his father’s limo service. Rogers said he got dozens of responses (not a big surprise there lol) that led to him giving 25 kids a ride one day, and 42 the next day. Bus driver shortages have been reported across Ohio as well as other states all over the country, and officials recently said that 15 to 20 percent of the district’s drivers called out nearly every day two weeks ago, and that the district is looking into alternative transportation options. Bus driver shortages have been issue all as well including right here in Rhode Island.
