The President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy has refuted the claim of Carrie Fisher’s brother Todd that his late sister will appear in Star Wars Episode 9. According to Kennedy, "We finished everything in Star Wars Episode 8 -The Last Jedi and Carrie is absolutely phenomenal in the movie." She said that Todd Fisher was probably "confused" when he talked about his sister starring in 9, and that he probably meant 8. Don’t worry Todd…we’re confused too!
