Will one beast knock another one out of the top spot at the box office this weekend? Opening today, Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey as the Beast. The movie also features Luke Evans, Josh Gad, Kevin Kline, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Emma Thompson, and Ian McKellan. No doubt it’ll be the top movie at the box office thiss weekend, but it’s getting mixed reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, 68% of critics liked it compared with 83% of audiences. Last week Kong: Skull Island was the #1 movie, we’ll see if Beauty can kick that beast’s butt.
