Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse has released a statement following election wins that will give Democrats control of the U.S. House and Senate.
Whitehouse says this was a massive victory for the American people, and it happened because the American people don't want a president "engorging himself by looting taxpayers."
He says Americans don't want a Supreme Court that's selling out democracy and they don't want a rogue Justice Department and "masked goons" terrorizing innocent Americans.
Whitehouse says Congress is ready for the hard work ahead to fix what's broken and set a course for a new, brighter future for the country.
