Providence Adding Poll Workers To Avoid Delays On Election Day

Providence is adding poll workers to avoid delays on general election day.

The additional staffing comes after 70 poll workers called out on the morning of the primary election, causing some polling locations to open late.

According to Elections Administrator Michael Narducci, the city is expecting 500 or 600 people to work the polls on November 3rd.

In addition, the city is planning to have backup workers report to City Hall in case polling locations need additional help.
