A Pawtucket man has received a double-life sentence plus a consecutive 20-years for a 2023 murder.
Luis Lopez was convicted of first-degree murder and several firearm counts in the killing of 27-year-old Emmanuel Torres Plaza in Central Falls.
In addition, Luis Lopez received a consecutive sentence of 20-years to serve.
Attorney General Peter Neronha says while Emmanuel Torres will forever be missed by his loved ones, he hopes that the sentence can bring them a sense of closure.
