According to the CDC, at least 145 cases of cyclosporiasis which is a type of food poisoning caused by a parasite, have been reported across 17 states.

Officials tell us Massachusetts and Connecticut have recorded between 1 and 10 cases.

Rhode Island has recorded no cases so far.

Ages of people infected range from 5 to 86 years old, and about 20 people have been hospitalized after suffering severe symptoms.
