New Federal Funding Announced For Housing, Homeless, Infrastructure

Rhode Island Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Jack Reed joined Representatives Seth Magaziner and Gabe Amo to announce federal funding for economic development and housing initiatives.

The state is receiving more than 26-million-dollars from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The funding will be used to address housing, public facilities, infrastructure, parks, community services, homelessness resources, and economic development programs statewide.

Senator Reed says the funding will help to strengthen neighborhoods and ensure more Rhode Islanders have a safe, healthy place to live.
