Members of Rhode Island's House Judiciary Committee met to consider immigration-related legislation on Wednesday.
Members heard testimony on the measures that include a bill that would prohibit police from wearing masks or disguises when interacting with the public and require visible ID, with some exceptions.
Another bill would prevent immigration authorities from arresting anyone attending a state court hearing without a judicial warrant.
A third bill bans a former ICE agent from being hired by a police agency in the state.
