New Report Is Looking At Cost Of Overtime

A new report is looking at how much police overtime cost in the aftermath of a fatal shooting at Brown University.

The Providence police department says 210 officers worked overtime the night of the December 13th incident, which does not include the officers already on duty.

Over a 10 day period, detectives clocked nearly 73-hundred overtime hours, totaling more than 528-thousand dollars.

Providence Mayor Brett Smiley says he's thankful to all members of law enforcement for their assistance.
