An ammonia leak at a North Kingstown food processing plant sent 13 employees to the hospital on Thursday.
First responders were called to Taylor Farms New England off of Commerce Park Road after an alarm signaled a possible leak.
The building was evacuated, and the workers were taken to the hospital with eye and throat irritation.
Two of the employees are in serious condition.
According to the preliminary investigation, the leak apparently originated on the roof of the facility's ammonia refrigeration system and spread through the HVAC system.
