Rhode Island Senator Jack Reed is saluting former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her service to the nation.
The 85-year-old Pelosi announced Thursday that she would not be seeking reelection in 2026.
Senator Reed says Pelosi has had a remarkable, trailblazing career and incredible record of achievement and she remains a formidable force.
The senator says her strong conviction, steely resolve, and principled leadership helped guide passage of the Affordable Care Act,
Wall Street reform, the American Rescue Plan, and many more consequential pieces of legislation. He says she has helped to make America a better place for all.
