Employees at T.F. Green International Airport are taking their protest over recent staffing cuts of custodians public.
Yesterday, almost a dozen unionized employees distributed flyers outside the airport that criticized the cuts, calling them drastic.
The employees say the Rhode Island Airport Corporation recently approved a plan to cut its cleaning staff by almost half, while it approved millions of dollars worth of renovations to the airport.
The employees' union says some of the employees who were affected had worked more than 20 years at T.F. Green and had helped the airport earn a reputation as one of the top small airports in the nation.
