Beginning at midnight Tuesday, RIDOT will implement a temporary traffic pattern for trucks, buses and other large vehicles at the Wickford roundabout.
The traffic pattern will be in effect 24-hours a day through Friday at the intersection of Brown Street, Boston Neck Road and Phillips Street, weather permitting.
There will be police on-site to assist oversized vehicles through the work zone.
RIDOT is encouraging operators of the large vehicles to find alternate routes to access Wickford village.
The work zone will be accessible to passenger vehicles and there will be local access to all shops, restaurants and residences.
