State Rep Craven Won't Seek Reelection

North Kingstown state Representative Robert Craven has resigned his Judiciary Committee chairmanship and is not going to seek reelection.

He ended his brief candidacy for Attorney General last week when media reports surfaced about a pair of misdemeanor domestic violence arrests 25 years ago.

Craven said he's been sober for 22 years, but acknowledges behavior from that period of his life will always be part of his story.

He also said he's grateful for the support of colleagues and friends in the past week.
