Tourists Turned Away From Boston Sites Over Shutdown

Tourists were turned away from some historic Boston area sites because of the federal government shutdown.

Tourist attractions that were closed to visitors yesterday included the JFK Presidential Library, the Charlestown Navy Yard and the Bunker Hill Monument.

Visitors at the sites were informed that they would remain closed until the shutdown ends.

The U.S. Constitution Museum remains open, and the Freedom Trail will continue to operate during the shutdown as well.
