Red Sox Race To Shutout Win Over A's

Boston starter Garrett Crochet put together a dominant showing on the mound to lead the Red Sox to a 7-0 victory over the Athletics in Sacramento.

Crochet earned his 15th win after striking out 10 batters and allowing just three hits through seven scoreless frames.

Carlos Narvaez and Trevor Story each hit a solo homer in a game where seven different batters drove-in a run for Boston.

The Red Sox are third in the AL East at 80-and-65. Darell Hernaiz, Max Schuemann and Jacob Wilson recorded the only three hits for the A's in the setback.

Luis Morales was charged with his first loss as the A's fell to 66-and-79.
