A Pawtucket city employee got quite a surprise after picking up a trash bag at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
The Friends of Pawtucket Animal Shelter says the employee was carrying the bag to the dumpster when it ripped and six snakes fell out of it.
The snakes included a python, and they appear to be pets that were abandoned.
The snakes are now being cared for by Sabrina's Reptile Kingdom in Cumberland.
Anyone with information regarding the person who left the snakes is asked to contact the Pawtucket Animal Shelter.
