Neronha Calls Letter To Sanctuary States "Bullying"

The US Attorney General Pam Bondi has written to 30 states and communities warning them that there could be repercussions if they stand in the way of immigration operations that may be going on in their states.

Rhode Island is one of the approximately 30 entities that received such a letter. It did not go over well.

Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee told the Providence Journal that the letter was nothing more than “generic form letter.”

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha called it “bullying”.

The letter warns that unless the state stands down from its Sanctuary Community activities there could be immigration caveats added to local grant funding.

California and Massachusetts were among the states that received such letters.
