The Mount Hope Bridge in Bristol is back open to drivers for the morning commute.
That span was closed down for several days while crews were out doing some much needed resurfacing work.
The last time the bridge had to be shut down was back in 1986 when it underwent a re-decking project.
The state DOT is thanking leaders in Bristol and Portsmouth for their collaboration and support.
The new surface is expected to last about five years.
