USPS Employee Pleads Guilty In Providence Mail Theft Ring

A Postal Service employee has pleaded guilty to participating in a mail theft ring at the U.S. Mail Processing and Distribution Center in Providence.

Darren Camacho admitted that he and his-conspirators searched through the mail several times a week and stole envelopes between March and June in 2023.

After work members of the conspiracy would meet to open the envelopes and take out cash, gift cards and checks.

Camacho is scheduled to be sentenced in November.
