Smoke from Canadian wildfires will continue to affect the air quality in Rhode Island today.
There may also be reduced visibility in some areas and the smell of smoke that could irritate the eyes, nose, throat and lungs.
The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management is advising people with asthma, lung or heart conditions to protect themselves by staying inside, closing windows, setting vehicle air systems to recirculate.
