Providence Noise Cameras Could Be Ready By Year's End

Providence noise cameras could be ready to go by the end of the year.

The cameras will detect sounds above the legal limit produced by modified mufflers, exhaust systems and speakers, then take a picture of the vehicle and send the driver a ticket in the mail.

Officials say emergency vehicles would be exempt.
