All Rhode Island College And University Dorms Must Be Equipped With NARCAN

Beginning September 1st, all Rhode Island college and university dorms must be equipped with NARCAN.

State lawmakers passed a measure this year, requiring the opioid-reversing medication and training for resident assistants and housing staff to administer it.

Lawmakers say the use of NARCAN will save young lives, increase campus safety and provide some peace of mind to families whose loved ones attend Rhode Island schools.
