For the second straight year, a WNBA regular season game played in Boston was a sellout.
The Connecticut Sun played Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever last night before a packed house at TD Garden.
Earlier in the day, Governor Maura Healey issued a proclamation calling for the placement of a WNBA team in Boston.
The league recently announced that three expansion teams would be joining the WNBA over the next few years, with Boston left off the list.
Besides Governor Healey's call for a WNBA team in her state, Governor Dan McKee has met with one businessman who says that he wants to buy the team and move it to Providence.
Another business group in Connecticut has met with Governor Ned Lamont. Lamont says that he supports the bid which would keep the team in Connecticut with games being played at The People's Bank Arena, the former XL Center.
In last night's game, Indiana defeated Connecticut by a score of 85 to 77.
