Providence Man Pleads Guilty To Trafficking Meth

A Providence man has been convicted of trafficking meth.

Acting U.S. Attorney Sara Miron Bloom says 40-year-old David Vasbinder pleaded guilty to a charge of possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine.

Vasbinder was arrested after a 2022 traffic stop when police learned there was an arrest warrant pending in Providence.

A search of his vehicle turned up 126 grams of 100 percent pure methamphetamine, packaging materials and cash.

He will be sentenced in October.
