A man has been arrested for vandalism and disorderly conduct after an incident involving a Cape Verdean flag.
Police say Joey Marsden rode to East Providence City Hall on a moped Wednesday, pulled the flag to the ground and stomped on it.
The incident was recorded on surveillance video and Marsden was arrested a short time later.
According to police he had a six-inch knife and a Nazi flag on him when taken into custody.
Police and the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office have not yet determined if hate crime enhancements will be added to the case.
