RIDOH Issues Overdose Spike Alert For Johnston, North Providence

The Rhode Island Department of Health has issued an overdose spike alert for in Johnston and North Providence.

Health officials say from May 28th to June 3rd, the region met its weekly overdose threshold with four non-fatal overdoses.

The last time this region had an overdose spike was in April of 2023.

An overdose spike alert lets residents know if their region has had more non-fatal overdoses than usual over the period of a week.
