The Most Reverend Bruce Lewandowski will officially be installed as Rhode Island's new Roman Catholic bishop today.
There will be a Solemn Mass of Installation at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence at 2 p.m.
The Cathedral is at capacity and the church is encouraging the community to watch the livestream on the diocesan YouTube channel.
Following the Mass, there will be a public reception with Bishop Lewandowski at the Omni Hotel Providence from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and everyone is welcome.
