Westerly Police Chief Says Human Remains Not Part Of Serial Killer Fears

Westerly Police Chief Paul Gingerella tells Fox-News that human remains found off a beach path near Taylor Swift's Watch Hill mansion do not appear to have any connection to online fears of a serial killer.

Gingerella says the Rhode Island Medical Examiner's Office is working to identify the remains that were discovered Wednesday, and foul play is not suspected at this time.

The Chief tells Fox, the serial killer concerns can be attributed to the "power of social media."

Thirteen bodies have been discovered in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island since March, sparking speculation about a serial killer.
