Demonstration Against ICE At RI Hospital

Protestors outside Rhode Island Hospital yesterday vowed to fight until ICE is out of the community.

They said a man was taken there after he was allegedly tased by ICE agents when they attempted to take him into custody.

An immigration attorney claimed he was denied access and Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos said she was monitoring indication the man was being denied due process.

ICE officials said that the man was in the country illegally and was accused of several serious charges.

State Representative David Morales posted a photo of the demonstration and said quote, "in Providence, we show up and defend our immigrant community."
