Providence College Pays Tribute To Pope Francis

Providence College is paying tribute to the late Pope Francis who died Easter Monday at the age of 88.

Black bunting has been draped over the outside of St. Dominic's Church on the campus of the Catholic college and prayer cards are available.

Providence College President, Father Kenneth Sicard has invited the Providence College community to join him in prayer and remembrance to reflect upon the life and legacy of His Holiness, Pope Francis.

Father Sicard says Pope Francis was a compelling preacher, a tireless pilgrim, and a compassionate shepherd who served the Church and fought injustice, creating hope in the hearts of all he ministered.
