Parole Denied For Providence Man

The State Parole Board last night rejected the parole request for former Providence Police Officer Nicholas Gianquitti.

He was convicted of the 2008 murder of a Cranston Firefighter and neighbor James Pagano.

The Board has been forced to offer the hearings in the after math of a state supreme court ruling that the Department of Corrections miscalculated parole dates for years.

Gianquitti will be up for parole again in 2028.
